QUESTION :- Expand the formula (x+y+z)².

ANSWER :-

(x+y+z)² is a identity in mathematics.

Here is the formulation of the identity. ⤵️

(x + y + z)(x + y + z)

Distributing the terms

 = x(x + y + z) + y(x + y + z) + z(x + y + z)

 =  {x}^{2}  + xy + xz + xy +  {y}^{2}  + yz +  xz + yz + {z}^{2}

Combining the terms

 =  {x}^{2}  + 2xy + xz +  {y}^{2}  + yz + xz + yz +  {z}^{2}

 =  {x}^{2}  + 2xy + 2xz +  {y}^{2}  + yz + yz +  {z}^{2}

 =  {x}^{2}  + 2xy + 2xz +  {y}^{2}  + 2yz +  {z}^{2}

Solution

  = {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} +  {z}^{2}  + 2xy + 2yz + 2xz

{x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} +  {z}^{2}  + 2(xy + yz +xz)

Hence  {(x+y+z)}^{2}= {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2} +  {z}^{2}  + 2(xy + yz +xz)
