Given,

x + y + z = 5 .....(1)

2x - y + z = 9 .....(2)

x - 2y + 3z = 16 .....(3)

Subtracting (2) from (1);

- x + 2y = -4 .....(4)

Multiplying (1) by 3 and subtracting (3) from the product;

2x +5y = -1 ......(5)

Solving (4) and (5), we get;

x = 2 and y = -1

Hence, z = 4

Therefore,

x =  2 \: \:  y =  -1 \:  \: z = 4
