Given equation

x^{2} +1=0

Solving, we get,

x^{2} +1=0\\\implies x^{2} =-1

The square of any number cannot be a negative number.

Hence, the given equation has no real zeroes.

NOTE

There are roots for negative numbers under the root sign.

They are known as complex numbers.

\sqrt{-1} = \sqrt{1} \ i\\ = i

 {x}^{2} + 1 = 0 \\ \\ = > {x}^{2} = - 1 \\ \\ x = + - \iota
