\* By Algebraic Identity *\

\blue{ i) a^{2} + b^{2} = (a+b)^{2} - 2ab}

Or

 \green {ii) a^{2} + b^{2} = (a-b)^{2} + 2ab}

i) Given \: x^{2} + \frac{1}{x^{2}} \\= \Big( x + \frac{1}{x} \Big)^{2} - 2 \times x \times \frac{1}{x} \\= \Big( x + \frac{1}{x} \Big)^{2} - 2

Or

 ii)Given \: x^{2} + \frac{1}{x^{2}} \\= \Big( x - \frac{1}{x} \Big)^{2} + 2 \times x \times \frac{1}{x} \\= \Big( x - \frac{1}{x} \Big)^{2} + 2
