Using Middle Term Splitting :

Product : 24

Sum : 10

Splitting Factors :- 6 and 4


X^2 + 6X + 4X +24 =0

X ( X+ 6 ). + 4 ( X + 6 )


( X + 6 ). ( X +4 )

By finding discriminant :- b^2 - 4ac
=> 100 - 4×1× 24
=> 100 - 96 = 4
so roots are positive and real..
x^2 +10x +24
=> x^2 +6x +4x + 24
=> x ( x +6 ) + 4 ( x + 6 )
=> ( x + 4 ) ( x + 6 )
==> x = -4 & x = -6
