=> x² + 2x - 5 = 0
=> x² + 2x = 5
=> x² + 2x + (1)² = 5 + 1
=> (x + 1)² = 6
=> x + 1 = +-√6
Thus => x = √6 - 1 or x = -(√6 + 1)
