 Let \: A = x^{2}-2xy+3y \\and \: B = 5y^{2}+3xy-6x^{2}

 i) A+B = x^{2}-2xy+3y + 5y^{2}+3xy-6x^{2}\\= x^{2} - 6x^{2}+5y^{2}-2xy+3xy+3y \\= (1-6)x^{2}+5y^{2}+(-2+3)xy+3y \\=-5x^{2}+5y^{2}+xy+3y

 ii) A-B = x^{2}-2xy+3y -(5y^{2}+3xy-6x^{2})\\=x^{2}-2xy+3y -5y^{2}</p><p>-3xy+6x^{2}\\ =x^{2} + 6x^{2}-5y^{2}-2xy-3xy+3y \\= (1+6)x^{2}-5y^{2}+(-2-3)xy+3y \\=7x^{2}-5y^{2}-5xy+3y
