 \sf{x}^{2}  + 2xy +  {y}^{2}

Can be represented as,

 \sf =  {x}^{2}  + xy + xy +  {y}^{2}

  \sf= x(x + y) + y(x + y)

 \sf =  (x + y)(x + y)

 \sf =  {(x + y)}^{2}

Therefore,

 \sf {x}^{2}  + 2xy +  {y}^{2}  =  {(x + y)}^{2}
