Just like long multiplication —- (x+y)(x^2-xy+y^2) … take “x” of the first term and multiply it to all the terms of the second equation x*(x^2_xy+y^2) ; then take “y” of the first term and multiply it with each term of the second equation remembering to place like terms below each other. Add all like terms algebraically to finish with (x^3 + y^3).
