Hey There

Here's The Answer

__________________________

Firstly we'll write given equation in standard quadratic equation ( ax² + bx + c = 0 )

=> - 0x - 3 = 0

  • a = 1
  • b = 0
  • c = - 3

Sum of the roots = - b/a

=> - ( -0 )/1 = 0

Product of the roots = c/a

=> -3/1 = - 3

Hope It Helps.

Given :

  • X²-3=0

To find :

  • sum and product of the roots of given quadratic equation.

Solution :

If m and n are roots of quadratic equation :- ax²+bx+c=0 then :-

 \sf sum \:  of \:  roots \: (m + n )=   - \dfrac{b}{a}  \\  \\ \sf Product  \: of \:  roots \: (m \times n) =  \dfrac{c}{a}

So we have :- X²-3=0 or X²+0x -3=0

Now , here :-

  • a = 1
  • b= 0
  • c = -3

So , sum of roots :-

\sf  \implies   - \frac{0}{1}

\sf  \implies   {0}

Therefore sum of roots = 0

Product of roots :-

  \sf \implies \dfrac{ - 3}{1}

\sf \implies{ - 3}

Answer :

  • sum of the roots of given quadratic equation = 0
  • product = -3
