  • Firstly we have to factorise numerator.

\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{x^{2}-2x-x+2}{x-1}}

\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{x(x-2)-1(x-2)}{x-1}}

\longrightarrow\sf{\dfrac{(\cancel{x-1})(x-2)}{\cancel{x-1}}}

  • Now, after cancelling x-1 from numerator and denominator, we get

\longrightarrow\sf{\purple{x-2}}

➺Hence, the value of \tt{\dfrac{x^{2}-3x+2}{x-1}} is \bf{\green{x-2}}.
