X²+3X-4=0

3×1/2=3/2

Add and subtract (3/2)²

X²+3x+(3/2)²-(3/2)²-4=0

(X+3/2)²=(3/2)²+4

( X+3/2)²=9/4+4

(X+3/2)²= 9+16/4

(X+3/2)²=25/4

Take square root on both the sides ,we get

X+3/2=+or-(5/2)

x=3/2+5/2=8/2=4

x=3/2-5/2=-2/2=-1

Therefore the zeroes are 4 and -1
