X2+3Y2=2XY3 in this reaction 2 moles of X2 and 4.5 moles of Y2 react to give product which is the limiting agent and calculation no of moles of X2,Y2 and XY3 in reaction side

1 moles of X2 needs 3 moles of Y2 for the reaction according to the equation provided above.

Therefore 2 moles of X2 needs 2×3 that is 6 moles of Y2

But we are provided with only 4.5 moles Of Y2 so Y2 is the limiting reagent.

3 moles of Y2 needed 1 mole of X2

therefore 4.5 moles of Y2 requires 4.5÷3= 1.5 moles of X2

3 moles of Y2 gives 2 moles of XY3

therefore 4.5 moles gives 4.5×2÷3= 3 moles of XY3
