Answer:

x² -4 / x+2

given:

f(x) = x² - 4

x+2 = 0,x= -2

using remainder theorem

f(2) = (-2)² -4

4-4

= 0

remainder = 0

x²-4

identity -

a²-b² = (a+b)(a-b)

x²-4

= (x)²-(2)²

= (x-2)(x+2)

(x-2)(x+2)/x+2

= x-2

therefore,

quotient = x-2

(x - 2)

To Divide:

(x² - 4) by (x + 2)

How to Solve:

1. First analyse the question and write it in mathematical formula.

2. Use Algebra Formula i.e (a² - b²) = (a + b)(a - b).

3. Just Cut off the similar one and get the answer.

Solution:

 =  \dfrac{ {x}^{2}  - 4}{x + 2}

[Using formula]

 =  \dfrac{(x + 2)(x - 2)}{(x + 2)}

[Cutting the similar one]

  = \dfrac{ \cancel{(x + 2)}(x - 2)}{ \cancel{(x + 2)}}  \\  \\  = (x - 2)

Hence, Our required answer is (x - 2).
