Question:-

(x {}^{2} - 5y) - (x {}^{3} + 6 - 5y)

Solution:-

Remove unnecessary parenthesis

x {}^{2} - 5y - (x {}^{3} + 6 - 5y)

Where there is a - in front of an expression in parentheses, change the sign of each term in expression.

x {}^{2} - 5y - x {}^{3} - 6 + 5y

Since two opposites add upto 0 remove them from expression

x {}^{2} - x {}^{3} - 6
