By using middle term splitting ,we will split the middle term 6x in such a way that the product of constant values of 1st term and 3rd term is equal to the splitting of the mid term as follows:

Here,

x^2+6x-16

=x^2+8x-2x-16

Now we will factories the 1st and 2nd term ; and then 3rd and 4th term

=x(x+8)-2(x+8)

Now (x+8) is common therefore we can write
