dividing whole equation by y^2
we get (x/y)^2+6=5(x/y)
put x/y=t
t^2-5t+6=0
(t-3)(t-2)
=> t=3 or 2
so x/y=3 or 2
thanks

x^2 + 6y^2 = 5xy
x^2 - 5xy + 6y^2 =0
x^2 - 2xy -3xy + 6y^2 =0
x (x-2y) -3y (x-2y) =0
(x-2y) (x-3y) =0
so x = 2y and x = 3y
so x/y = 2 and 3
i hope it helped you
