I see that one answer was given there but they are roots not discriminant

for discriminant we use formula

D=b²-4ac

a=2

b=-5

c=3

(-5)²-4×2×3

25-24

D=1

so discriminant is greater than 0

so it' is real and unequal roots

if D=0 then roots are real and equal

D<0 then no real roots can be found
