\\ \sf\longmapsto x^2-9=0

  • Take 9 to right side

\\ \sf\longmapsto x^2=9

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=\sqrt{9}

  • As it is a quadratic equation so it has two roots

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=\pm\sqrt{9}

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=\pm 3

  • Roots are +3 and -3
