×2 - (p + a)x + pq = 0
x2 - px - g× + pq = 0
x(x - p) -q)X - p) = 0
= (x - p) (x - a) = 0
Either x - D = 0,
then x= p
or
x-9 = 0.
then X = q
Hence X = p, q.

The factors are (x-p) (x-q)
