Factor out from the expression..

x² × (1+y^6)

Using += (a+b)(-ab+), factor out the expression...

× (1+) × (1-1y² +y⁴)

Any expression multiplied by 1 remains the same..

x² × (1+ ) × (1 -y² +y⁴)

The required factorization...
