x²-y²+6y-9

=x²-(y²+9-6y)

=x²-(y²-3y-3y+9)

=x²-(y(y-3)-3(y-3)

=x²-(y-3)(y-3)

=x²-(y-3)²

{ a²-z²=(a+z)(a-z) }

=[x+(y-3)] [x-(y-3)]

= (x+y-3)(x-y+3)

Hence,
x²-y²+6y-9 = (x-y+3)(x+y-3)

hope helped !
