Equation = x^3+13x^2+31x-45
By hit and trial method
let x=1
i.e (1)^2+ 13*(1)^2+31(1)-45=0
1st factor is (x-1)
BY LONG DIVISION METHOD
x^3+13x^2+31x-45/ x - 1
{Check the division in the picture}
q(x)= x^2+14x+4
= x^2+9x+5x+45
= x(x+9) 5(x+9)
=(x+5) (x+9)
Hence the three factors are
(x-1) (x+5) (x+9)
or x = 1 , -9 , -5
Hope like it!!!!
