x + 1 = 0

x =  - 1

  p(x) = {x}^{3}  + 3 {x}^{2}  + 3x + 1

p( -1) =  {( - 1)}^{3}  + 3 {( -1 )}^{2}  + 3( - 1) + 1

 =  - 1 + 3 - 3 + 1

 = 0

 Here \: the \: remainder \: is \: 0. So, \: x + 1 \: \: is \: a \: factor \: of \:  {x}^{3}  + 3 {x}^{2}  + 3x + 1.
