The degree of this polynomial would be 8.

How did I get that?

For that you have to first keep track of only the largest degree number within the parenthesis and then just multiply the power with it since degree is defined as the highest power of any term in a polynomial.

(x³+x⁴)² = x⁶+2x^12 + x⁸

degree of polynomial = 12

Hope it helps ❤
