  • f(x) = x⁴+4x-2x²+x³-10
  • g(x) = x - 2

Solution:

g(x) = x -2

x = 2

After putting g(x) value in f(x), if the remainder is 0 so these are completely divisible;

f(x) = x⁴+4x-2x²+x³-10

f(2) = 2⁴ + 4×2 - 2 × 2² + 2³ - 10

 \\ \colon\implies{\sf{ 16 + 8 - 8 + 8 - 10}} \\ \\ \colon\implies{\sf{ 32 - 18 }} \\ \\ \colon\implies{\sf\green{0 \neq 14}} \\

So,

x⁴+4x-2x²+x³-10 is not divided by (x - 2).
