x⁴-6x²-1=0 then find the value of x^6-5x²+(5/x²)-(1/x^6)+5=?​

Answer:

ssume x²=y

So, x⁴=y²

We get in (1)

y²+3y+1=0

Using quadratic formula

y= -3+√(9–4*1*1)/2. & y=-3-√(9–4)/2

y=-3+√5/2 and y=-3-√5/2

But y =x²

Therefore, x=√y

x=√{(-3+√5)/2} and x=√{(-3-√5)/2}
