Answer :- Father of Nation is Mahatma Gandhi, his full name is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. He was conferred by Mahatma which means great soul and this name was given by his great friend Rabindranath Tagore. Gandhi was born at Porbandar in Gujarat in October 2nd, 1869.

What was his achievement?

Answer :- Gandhi's first major achievement was in 1918 when he led the Champaran and Kheda agitations of Bihar and Gujarat. He also led Non-Cooperation Movement, Civil Disobedience Movement, Swaraj, and Quit-India movement against the British government. Gandhi identified his overall method of non-violent action as Satyagraha.

Why Gandhiji was assassinated?

In an effort to end India's religious strife, he resorted to fasts and visits to the troubled areas. He was on one such vigil in New Delhi when Nathuram Godse, a Hindu extremist who objected to Gandhi's tolerance for the Muslims, fatally shot him.
