Explanation:

Xe has a complete filled 5p configuration. As a result when it undergoes bonding with an odd number (3 or 5) of F atoms it leaves behind one unpaired electron. This causes the molecule to become unstable. As a result XeF3 and XeF5 do not exist.

XE DOES FORMS COMPOUNDS SUCH XEF2 AND XEF5 AS XENON IS FAR FROM THE NUCLEUS IT IS LESS STABLE COMPARED TO OTHER NOBLE GASES AND AS IT IS FAR THERE IS MUCH LESS ATTRACTING FORCE BETWEEN LAST ELECTRON OF XENON AND ITS NUCLEUS THAT IS WHY IT FORMS COMPOUNDS WITH OTHER ELEMENTS.BUT NOT WITH XEF3 AND XEF6 AS THEIR ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION IS STABLE
