The value of x is 3/4.

Given: \frac{x}{3} +\frac{1}{4} = \frac{1}{2}

To find: Solve the equation for x

Solution:

We are given,

\frac{x}{3} +\frac{1}{4} = \frac{1}{2}

To find the value of x here, we will first take fraction (1/4) on the Right hand side.

As we take 1/4 to the right hand side, its sign will change to negative.

\frac{x}{3}  =  - \frac{1}{4} + \frac{1}{2}

Now, we will solve the RHS by taking LCM of 4 and 2.

LCM of 4 and 2 is 4.

\frac{x}{3}  =   \frac{2-1}{4}

\frac{x}{3} = \frac{1}{4}

Now, cross multiply on both sides, we get,

4x = 3*1

4x = 3

Take 4 on RHS and divide by 3, we get,

x = \frac{3}{4}

Hence, the solution of the equation is x = \frac{3}{4}
