Step-by-step explanation:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let no. of pencil batteries bought= x

according to question,

no. of bulbs= 2/7 x

cost of 1 battery = Rs. 7.50

cost of x batteries = Rs. 7.50x

cost of 1 bulb = Rs. 8

cost of 2/7x bulbs = Rs. 16/7x

again according to question,

7.50x + 16/7x = 137

15/2x + 16/7x = 137

255x/14 = 137

x= 137×14

255

x= 7.521

x= 7pencil batteries (approx.)

2/7x=2bulbs
