 {x}^{4}  + 4 {x}^{3}  + 6 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 9

x =  - 1 +  \sqrt{2} i

x + 1 =  \sqrt{2} i

(x + 1) {}^{2}  = ( \sqrt{2} i) {}^{2}

 {x}^{2}  + 2x + 1 = 2 {i}^{2}  =  - 2

 {x}^{2}  + 2x + 3 = 0

squaring both sides, we get

( {x}^{2}  + 2x + 3) {}^{2}  = 0

 {x}^{4}  + 4 {x}^{2}  + 9 + 4 {x}^{ 3}  + 12x + 6 {x}^{2}  = 0

 {x}^{4}  + 4 {x}^{3}  + 10 {x}^{2}  + 12x + 9 = 0
