when uh throw a body with some velocity v at an angle less than or greater than 90° with horizontal..then the body executes projectile motion..

Explanation:

as the body starts climbing the height.. gravitational accn acts downward an the body keeps on retarding till the velocity becomes zero... then this same gravitational accn starts pulling the body back to the ground..

1) as the body comes at rest at the top kost point..so at that point the velocity is minimum..that is 0m/s

2) while upward motion the gravitational accn retards the body so the velocity will be maximum at the time the body is thrown..

3) while pulling the body back from topmost point to the ground, the gravitational accn accelerates the body...so the velocity will be maximum at the point just before striking..

conclusion= maximum velocity is always near the ground... that is initial and final velocity .

and magnitude of initial velocity is equal to the magnitude of final velocity
