We have been given that,

y = 0 and xy = 1

If we substitue the value of y into the second equation we get:-

x \times 0 = 1

Transposing:-

x = \dfrac{1}{0}

We know, that the division by zero is not possible. Therefore, this equation would be left undefined.

That means, there is no value of x that can satisfy this equation.

No matter how many values we try, we would end up getting the same result over and over again.

Hence, x has no solutions.
