Given :  XY * 6 = YYY

To Find :  value of X and Y.

Solution:

XY * 6  = YYY

(10X + Y)*6  = YYY

=> 60X  + 6Y = 100Y + 10Y + Y

=> 60X + 6Y = 111Y

=> 20X + 2Y  = 37Y

=> 2(10X + Y)  = 37Y

37 is a prime number

Hence 10X + Y  = 37k

37 or 74

=> X = 3 , Y = 7

   X = 7    Y = 4

Case 1  : X = 3 , Y = 7

37 * 6  = 777

=> 222  = 777

not possible

Case 2 : X = 7 , Y = 4

74 * 6  = 444

=> 444  = 444

Value of X = 7

& Value of Y = 4
