CBSE BOARD X, asked by shuvam1644, 2 months ago

XY is a classic game preferred by board game  enthusiasts. According to historians, XY traces its roots from a similar game called 'Quirkat' , which dates back to 1400s. The game was played in ancient Rome, Egypt, Greece and India. Played on a 5×5 grid, it used a couple of sets of round flats pieces with varying colors. The aim was to capture all the ombudsmen. In the early 1900s, the game was brought to the markets in Germany with the name XY. The ploy was meant to capitalize on the familiarity of people Y as well as to put a touch of the Orient to the game. Hint: The game is neither X nor Y but it's a fun *tactical game* and we all must have played it once in childhood. Name the game.
