 \frac{xy}{x + y}  =  \frac{1}{9}  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{x}  +  \frac{1}{y}  =  \frac{1}{9} ............(1) \\  \\ and \\  \\  \frac{xy}{x - y}  =  \frac{1}{4}  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{x}  +  \frac{1}{y}  =  \frac{1}{4} .........(2) \\  \\ adding \: (1) \: and \: (2). we \: get: \\  \\  \frac{2}{x}  =  \frac{13}{36}  \\  =  >  \fbox{x =  \frac{62}{13}} \\  \\ now \: using \: x =  \frac{62}{13} in \: (2) \\  \\  \frac{1}{y}  +  \frac{13}{62}  =  \frac{1}{4}  \\  =  >  \frac{1}{y}  =  \frac{5}{124}  \\  =  >  \fbox{y =  \frac{124}{5}  }
