xy÷ x+y=6÷5

5xy = 6(x+y)

5xy = 6x+6y (eq.1)

xy÷ y-x=6

xy= 6( y-x)

xy= 6y-6x(eq.2)

Using elimination method , subtract eq.2 from eq.1

5xy = 6y+6x

xy = 6y - 6x

4xy = 0 + 12x

y = 12x/4x

y = 3

put value of y in eq. 2

(3)x= 6(3)-6x

3x+6x = 18

9x = 18

x = 18/9

x = 2
