XYZ is a right angled triangle with angle X =90°, XY=9 cm , and YZ =15 cm. OX is perpendicular to YZ. Find OX.​

Answer:

OX =12

by Pythagoras theorem :

(15)^2 = (OX)^2+ (9)^2

225 = (OX)^2 + 81

(OX)^2 = 225-81

(OX)^2 = 144

OX = ✓144

OX = 12
