$\implies \frac{4x - 12x}{3} = 8$

$\implies \frac{-8x}{3} = 8$

$\implies \frac{-x}{3} = 1$

$\implies -x = 3$

$\implies \bold{x = -3}$

On substituting the value of x = -3 in eq. (1), we get

$y = \frac{2(-3)}{3} + 6 = \frac{-6}{3} + 6 = -2 + 6 = 4$

Thus, by substitution method, we get the value of → x = - 3 and y = 4.
