y-20⁰+y+30⁰=90⁰

2y+10⁰=90⁰

2y=80⁰

y=40⁰

i)y-20⁰=20⁰

ii)y+30⁰=70⁰

2y +10 = 90

y = 40

then

y -20 = 40-20 = 20

y+30 = 40+30 = 70

complementary angles = sum of two angles is 90°

20+70 = 90
