y-20+y+30=90
2y+10=90
2y=80
y=40
1st angle=40-20=20
2nd angle = 40+30=70

since
sum of complementary angles=90°,

then According to question,

(y-20°)+(y+30°)=90°,

2y+10°=90°,

2y=80°,

y=40°,

then 1st angle=(y-20°)=(40°-20°)=20°,

2nd angle=(y+30°)=(40°+30°)=70°
