y-2x=1. 3x-4y=1 , rearrange the equation and solving the elimination method ​

:⟹ –2x + y = 1 ... (1)

:⟹ 3x – 4y = 1 ... (2)

if we use to eliminate equation (1)

– 2x + y = 1 .. (1)

y = 1 + 2x ...(3)

so we can put value of equation (3) in equation (2)

:⟹ 3x – 4y = 1 .. (2)

3x – 4 ( 1 + 2x ) = 1

3x – 4 – 8x = 1

– 5x – 4 = 1

– 5x = 1 + 4

– 5x = 5

x = 5 / – 5

x = – 1

we can put the value of x in equation (3)

:⟹ y = 1 + 2x ..(3)

y = 1 + 2 ( – 1 )

y = 1 – 2

y = – 1

:⟹ so x = 1

:⟹ y = 1

( x , y ) = ( – 1 , – 1 )
