 \frac{y}{3}  -  \frac{7}{2}  =  \frac{ - y}{4}

 \frac{y}{3}  +  \frac{y}{4}  =  \frac{7}{2}

 \frac{4y + 3y}{12}  =  \frac{7}{2}

 \frac{7y}{12}  =  \frac{7}{2}

2(7y) = 7(12)

14y = 84

y =  \frac{84}{14}

y = 6
