y =-1/2 +2 =1+4 /2 = 5/2

Step-by-step explanation:

a) y=3/x+2

y= (3 + 2x)/x

when x= -6 then

y= {3+ 2(-6)}/(-6)

= {3-12}/(-6)

=(-9)/(-6)

= 3/2

b) In terms of y,

y-2=3/x

( y-2)/3 =1/x

x= 3/(y-2)
