by formula

y-y1=m(x-x1)

therefore , slope=m=2

y-intercept=y1=5

mukundkale: Thx
mukundkale: Y= intercept= -9

y=mx + c
This is the general formula of linear equation in 2 variables to find the slope and intercept.
In the equation m is the slope and C is the y intercept.

In the question y - 5 = 2(x - 7)
y = 2× - 14 + 5
y = 2x -9

So slope of the line is 2 and the y intercept is –9.

HOPE IT HELPS..... :-)
