Given : y and zare whole numbers.  y <  60  z ≤ 50

To find : the largest possible value of y+ z

Solution:

Correct Question attached in picture

as y < 60

and whole number

Hence maximum possible value of Y = 59

z ≤ 50

and whole number

Hence maximum possible value of Z = 50

Y + Z

= 59 + 50

= 109

largest possible value of y+z = 109
