or y= asin(kx - omega. t + phase). for progressive wave equation in both of them which is correct?

y=asin(omega .t - kx +phase ) is the correct progressive wave equation.... whereas the other one have different sign which is not correct but if see these equation y= asin(kx - omega. t + π). then its right otherwise these equation is right y=asin(omega .t - kx +phase )
