let x be the CP of the articles
we have,
SP of the articles = 22000
profit percentage for selling half of the articles = 25
profit for selling half of the articles = 25% of x
= (25/100)x
= x/4
we know
CP = SP - profit
=> x = 22000-(x/4)
=> x = (88000-x)/4
=> 4x = 88000-x
=> 5x = 88000
=> x = 88000/5
=> x = Rs 17600
therefore CP = Rs 17600
now profit for selling half of the articles = x/4
= 17600/4
= 4400
and SP of selling half of the article = CP + profit
= 17600 + 4400
= 22000
total profit percent = 34
profit = 34% of CP
= (34/100)×17600
= 34 × 176
= 5984
total SP = 17600 + 5984
= 23584
but,
total SP = SP of half of the articles + SP of the rest articles
=> 23584 = 22000 + SP of the rest articles
=> 23584 - 22000 = SP of the rest articles
=> 1584 = SP of the rest articles
=> SP of the rest articles = 1584
therefore, the rest of the articles should be sold at 1584 to gain total profit of 34%
