y component of velocity is 20

x component of velocity is 10

Let θ be the direction of motion

Then

tanθ = y component of velocity / x component of

velocity

tanθ = 20/10

➙ tanθ = 2

θ = Arc tan(2)

So the required direction of motion of the body with the horizontal at this instant is Arc tan(2)
